Exploring the distant Universe with cosmic telescopes

Deep HST and VLT observations couple to gravitational lensing allow us to access high redshift galaxies at unprecedented small physical scales and faint luminosities, opening to the possibility of revealing the still elusive formation of globular clusters. I will present initial results from the recently acquired MUSE deep lensed field on one of the best cosmic telescopes (MACS J0416), and report on an exceptional super-lensed system at z=2.4 as possible analog of the reionization agents, hosting a young massive star cluster leaking ionizing radiation. Such studies naturally anticipate what big telescopes will do in non lensed fields, whilst adaptive optics facilities on lensed fields will probe parsec scales up to the reionization epoch.
