The puzzles of the expansion rate of the universe and structure formation have motivated recent research in cosmology. The recent discovery of evolving dark energy has added a third puzzle and signals the need for new theoretical ideas. I will review the current status of these puzzles. I will then discuss how weak gravitational lensing and galaxy clustering measurements are used for cosmology. I will show results from the Dark Energy Survey and describe how machine learning is used to test theoretical models with survey data. I will conclude with the exciting prospects for the coming years with Euclid and other Stage 4 cosmological surveys.
