We present a new X-ray spectroscopic study of 17 local (0.1<z<0.3) and bright AGN, as part of the SUBWAYS sample, observed with XMM between 2019-2020. The aim of this large campaign is primarily focused on the search and characterization of ultra fast outflows typically detected through blueshifted absorption troughs in the Fe K band. By performing a statistically driven blind line-search coupled with extensive Monte Carlo simulations, we find that the presence of absorption lines corresponding to highly ionised Fe K lines in about 40 per cent of the total sample. The results of this work are consistent with those previously obtained using XMM and Suzaku data and independently provides a further support for the existence of highly ionised matter propagating at mildly relativistic speed in a considerable fraction in AGN in the local Universe.
