The MSE project aims to deliver to the community a large-aperture wide-field high-multiplexed spectroscopic facility, ranging from VIS to NIR, from high to medium resolution in transforming the present 3.6-m CFHT on Maunakea in Hawaii. I will present the project and its update, the range of enabled astrophysic topics, and the MSE pathfinder on CFHT.
