Activities

Since March 2022, I am Scientific Attaché for Switzerland at the Consulate General of Italy in Zurich. In this function, I am responsible for promoting bilateral collaborations in science and technology. Previously, I have worked for more than twenty years in international scientific projects and management activities in space and ground-based projects, mainly in the fields of astrophysics, technology transfer and atmospheric physics. My main area of activity is the realisation of complex instrumentation for space missions (ESA Planck, Euclid, PLATO, Athena), in collaboration with large industries and SMEs. I am lecturer at the University of Genoa and the Alma Mater Foundation of the University of Bologna and a consultant/trainer at space industries. I was awarded the 2018 Gruber Prize by the Yale Foundation as a key person in the success of the Planck satellite.
