The measurements of Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropies from Planck point to a much lower integrated optical depth compared to WMAP and to a reionization process which falls between redshift of 10 and 6. In the same redshift range astrophysical data from the Hubble Frontier Fields and Lyman alpha observations provide measurements of the UV luminosity density and estimations of neutral hydrogen in the IGM. The coexistence of the three independent probes represents a unique opportunity to reconstruct the reionization history through their combination. For the first time we jointly reconstruct the reionization history by solving for the volume filling equations assuming that photo-ionization and recombination rates are free-forms and constrain all the cosmological parameters with a combination of CMB and astrophysical data. I will present the methodology used and the results we obtain on the reconstructed ionization fraction, UV luminosity and recombination time for different data combinations. I will describe the constraining power of the combination of the three datasets, and I will describe how even though the simplest model seems to be disfavoured we found no evidence for non-monotonic minimal histories.
