In this talk, I will present the results of a multi-wavelength analysis performed by means of new radio (VLA), X-ray (Chandra) and Halpha (VIMOS) observations of the cool-core cluster A1668. We find evidences of spatial offsets between the different gas phases and the central radio galaxy. Two putative cavities are detected and analysed, comparing the corresponding power with the state-of-the-art correlation between cavity power and cooling luminosity. The results suggest that offsets are not interrupting or preventing the cooling. Finally, we discuss possible scenarios that could explain the observed features and produce the current environment of A1668.
