Constraining the mass budget of young stellar objects (YSOs) from continuum observations around 1mm has proven challenging, particularly for Class 0/I disks still embedded in their envelopes. We explored the potential of longer wavelengths (3 mm and 7 mm) to recover reliable YSO disk masses. A sample of synthetic targets generated from magneto-hydrodynamic simulations was used as ground truth and subsequently post-processed with radiative transfer. We then simulated ALMA observations with CASA software and fitted the resulting visibilities using simple models. In this talk, I will demonstrate how young disk masses can be successfully recovered from the 3mm continuum, as well as the radii and the inclinations. Moreover, I will discuss the differences between the mock-surveys at 1mm, 3mm, and 7mm, and conclude with the key caveats that affect the inferred YSO properties. Our results can be used to design future ALMA surveys aimed at obtaining accurate estimates of young disk properties, essential to constrain the initial conditions for planet formation
