Astrophysics Talk

Open clusters in the Kepler FOV and why we need Haydn.

Karsten Brogaard (Unibo - DIFA & Aarhus University, Denmark)

Tuesday 28/03/2023 @ 14:00, Sala IV piano Battiferro - Presenza + remoto

I provide an overview of what we have learned - and what we are still learning - from the open clusters in the Kepler FOV using eclipsing binary stars and asteroseismology as our tools. I finish with a brief look into the future with remarks on how the Haydn mission will continue this progress in our understanding of stars and the Milky Way.
